Collective Haul!

I've been doing these haul posts a lot lately but I got a few more things over the last month that I'm really excited about, so I thought I'd share them with you!

Starting off with jewelry, I got this long silver locket from Forever 21 for $6.80, I believe. I love how it actually opens, and I am a big fan of long, pendant-style necklaces so this was a good buy for me.

I also got this large owl necklace from Claire's, and it was around $14. It has a gold chain and black and white detailing on the body.

Lastly, I purchased this bracelet from a small boutique near where I work. I saw it and realized it seemed to be quite similar to the bracelets available from Bauble Bar, and for the $18 price tag, I thought it was a pretty good deal. I love how it is rose gold, as well.

Moving into beauty, I picked up this mini sized body mist from Victoria's Secret. I love this scent in the perfume version but couldn't justify paying $50 on it, so I just bought the $10 body mist. This is an amazing fruity scent that reminds me a lot of Someday by Justin Bieber (I just like the perfume. I promise!).

I also got a new deodorant. (you probably didn't need to know that, but oh well.)

And lastly, I got this lipgloss from butter London in Trout Pout. Now before you realize I'm on Project Pan and think I cheated, I actually got this for free using my Glymm box points. Therefore, I'm telling myself it doesn't count.

This is a beautiful peachy-pink colour. I'm thinking about doing a review on this in a separate blog post.

Moving on into accessories, I first got this scarf from American Eagle. I work there, so I did get it at a discount. It's a loop scarf with a small floral print across it, and I love the colour scheme.

I also got this bag at Aldo Accessories. I have very few purses (this is actually my second) and I've been wanting a cross-body bag for quite a long time. I saw this one and I love the floral print on it, as well as the colour of the "leather". Best of all, it was only $35.

I purchased one pair of shoes, and they are these boots from Spring. I think they're gorgeous, with the cut-outs and the way that they were made. Initially, I believe these were $70-80. They were then marked down to $50, and somehow I got them for $35.

I'm also going to quickly run through some clothes that I purchased from American Eagle. I first got this shirt online (that's why it is so wrinkled) and I had been wanting it for a very long time. I love the open-knit style of this henley tee and it's totally my style.

I also got these pants online, and I believe they are called the Skinny Trouser. I got them in a khaki colour so I could wear them to work at Starbucks :)

(On a side note, I'm 5'11 and was itching to try the x-long length, so I did. It turns out they're too long for me and once I got over the shock of having pants that were TOO LONG, I realized I'd have to cuff them or hem them. Oops.)

In the store, there was a deal going on for certain employees to get a pair of jeans for $10, so I got this pair. I had been needing new denim since I have holes wearing through in some of my older ones, so these were a good buy.

Lastly for clothing, I got this denim shirt. Just like everything else, I'd wanted this for a while and decided to finally get it (with my discount). I have one in a darker colour but I like the lighter one a little bit more, I think.

As for one random thing, I got my markout from Starbucks for last week (which is a free item, basically.) I chose to get a box of the Orange Blossom Tazo tea, and I quite like it, actually.

That's my looooong haul! Thanks for sticking through to the very end and make sure to follow my blog if you enjoyed!

Quick Tip: Where I buy my jeans

I thought I'd quickly mention this topic, because I know that I have a lot of trouble finding jeans to fit me. Being 5'11 and a size 2-4, most jeans are much too short for me - I find that most places like Garage and Forever21 don't carry a wide enough range of sizes to fit all body types. While they carry plenty of different waist sizes, the length doesn't vary much.

This is especially troublesome in the area of coloured jeans, which I would love to get my hands on, but no one carries long enough sizes for someone as tall as me.

If you are on one of the extreme sides of height, and you're either quite tall or quite short, I would recommend taking a look in American Eagle for jeans. In most washes each size comes in a short, regular and long, and on the website an x-long size is available (something I'm definitely looking into). My only issue is that the coloured denim available in American Eagle, while great quality, is only available in the "regular" length in store. If you're looking for any other length, one would have to look online.

I definitely recommend these jeans to anyone. They're comfortable, come in a wide range of styles and washes, and are pretty affordable (compared to Hollister or 7 For All Mankind).

Where's your favorite place to get jeans?

This is not a sponsored post by any means. I just wanted to share my preferences for those who are looking for longer or shorter jeans and don't know where to go. :)

Wishlist - 04/08/12

These are all the things I wish I had money for right now! :)

1.) Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation

Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation, about $55 CAD, Chanel counters

This is something I've had my eye on for quite some time. I know lots of people love it and when I run out of my current foundation, I would love to try this.

2.) Chanel Blush Horizon de Chanel soft glow blush

Chanel Blush Horizon de Chanel blush, about $74 CAD, Chanel counters

This is BEAUTIFUL. And I really don't need a reason to have another blush but I absolutely love this. I have no idea if it's still available - I believe it was limited edition - but if I could get my hands on it, I would love it.

3.) NARS duo in Tzarine

NARS duo in Tzarine, $34 USD, Sephora

I've wanted this eyeshadow duo for a very long time. It comes with a beautiful champagne colour and a deep blue, and I love both colours. I think this would be nice for something a little different from my typical neutral brown shadows.

4.) ASOS Quilted Lock Across Body Bag

ASOS Quilted Across Body Bag, $27.41 CAD,  www.asos.com

I know this bag is incredibly popular, but I love it just the same. I don't know exactly where I would wear it but it would get use, since it is so gorgeous.

5.) American Eagle Crossbody Satchel

AEO Crossbody Satchel, $24.42 CAD, American Eagle

I'm really into crossbody bags, in case that was not yet clear. I love this one because of the worn feel and the different colours on the outside flap. It's also fairly affordable, and since I work at American Eagle I could get a bit of a discount on it!

So that's everything! I'm still on a bit of a spending ban when it comes to makeup, but I do plan on getting a new foundation when I run out of mine. If you're reading, what is your number one item on your wishlist right now?

Forever21, American Eagle, Garage and Sephora Haul

I was doing some online shopping and I actually purchased something this time - which basically never happens. I also went to a couple of stores recently, so...

Starting with Forever21. The first thing I got was just a plain v-neck tee, in this really gorgeous colour.

It's quite soft and has long sleeves considering it's a short sleeve tee, which is a major selling point for me. The only negative thing I could say about this is the neckline of it dips down quite a bit lower than I would like, but for $5 (give or take), it's a steal.

The next thing I got were these cuffed denim shorts.

These were the most expensive item I got from Forever21 - not saying much, since they were $12.80. I was worried that they wouldn't fit (the sizing was different than what I am used to) but they are super stretchy and fit perfectly.

The last thing I got from here was an eyelash curler.

I can't say much about this product - I got it for $1.80, which explains it's quality. However, for a first eyelash curler, I don't think that matters too much. For anyone reading this - any tips to help me curl my lashes? Much appreciated.

The next place I went to was Sephora, to pick up just one thing.

I'd been wanting the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil in Electric for quite some time and I finally picked it up. It wasn't cheap at $22 but the quality of it is absolutely amazing and the colour is gorgeous. Swatches to come.

Next I went to Garage - a Canadian clothing store. The first thing I got was actually a bathing suit that I'm really fond of.

In total this bathing suit was about $40, which is a total steal. The top is a bandeau type top that twists in the center. It has a bit of padding which is good for those who are small chested (namely, me). I love the nautical theme of this bathing suit, and the fact that it has removable straps is also a plus. To balance out the stripey top, I went with a solid navy bottom that matches the navy in the top. It has keyhole sides and ties, which is a really nice added detail. All in all I'm really liking this bathing suit.

The last thing I got from there was a really cute pair of shorts.

I think with a nice white tank top these would look amazing - a gorgeous plaid print and they have a removable tie around the waist. These were $20, because they were on sale.

And, lastly, American Eagle. I'd been looking for one particular pair of skinny jeans in stores but they never had them in my size (jeans come in short, regular, and long, and these jeans weren't stocked in the long size). At 5'10 I can't wear even the regular size because I'm so tall, so I basically gave up on finding these jeans. However, when looking at the American Eagle website recently I was amazed to find that online, they are stocked in my exact size. Immediately upon seeing this I ordered them and anxiously awaited my package in the days that followed.

I've been wanting a pair of distressed jeans for quite a while but never got the opportunity until now. These jeans fit perfectly and, like all American Eagle jeans, are fairly soft and stretchy. They were the most expensive jeans I have ever purchased from this store, coming in at $50, but I don't regret a thing. No words can express my happiness upon finding my distressed jeans :)

Hope you all enjoyed this haul, and comment below if you have requests or want to see more of any certain blog posts. Thanks for reading. :)
