Collective Haul!

I've been doing these haul posts a lot lately but I got a few more things over the last month that I'm really excited about, so I thought I'd share them with you!

Starting off with jewelry, I got this long silver locket from Forever 21 for $6.80, I believe. I love how it actually opens, and I am a big fan of long, pendant-style necklaces so this was a good buy for me.

I also got this large owl necklace from Claire's, and it was around $14. It has a gold chain and black and white detailing on the body.

Lastly, I purchased this bracelet from a small boutique near where I work. I saw it and realized it seemed to be quite similar to the bracelets available from Bauble Bar, and for the $18 price tag, I thought it was a pretty good deal. I love how it is rose gold, as well.

Moving into beauty, I picked up this mini sized body mist from Victoria's Secret. I love this scent in the perfume version but couldn't justify paying $50 on it, so I just bought the $10 body mist. This is an amazing fruity scent that reminds me a lot of Someday by Justin Bieber (I just like the perfume. I promise!).

I also got a new deodorant. (you probably didn't need to know that, but oh well.)

And lastly, I got this lipgloss from butter London in Trout Pout. Now before you realize I'm on Project Pan and think I cheated, I actually got this for free using my Glymm box points. Therefore, I'm telling myself it doesn't count.

This is a beautiful peachy-pink colour. I'm thinking about doing a review on this in a separate blog post.

Moving on into accessories, I first got this scarf from American Eagle. I work there, so I did get it at a discount. It's a loop scarf with a small floral print across it, and I love the colour scheme.

I also got this bag at Aldo Accessories. I have very few purses (this is actually my second) and I've been wanting a cross-body bag for quite a long time. I saw this one and I love the floral print on it, as well as the colour of the "leather". Best of all, it was only $35.

I purchased one pair of shoes, and they are these boots from Spring. I think they're gorgeous, with the cut-outs and the way that they were made. Initially, I believe these were $70-80. They were then marked down to $50, and somehow I got them for $35.

I'm also going to quickly run through some clothes that I purchased from American Eagle. I first got this shirt online (that's why it is so wrinkled) and I had been wanting it for a very long time. I love the open-knit style of this henley tee and it's totally my style.

I also got these pants online, and I believe they are called the Skinny Trouser. I got them in a khaki colour so I could wear them to work at Starbucks :)

(On a side note, I'm 5'11 and was itching to try the x-long length, so I did. It turns out they're too long for me and once I got over the shock of having pants that were TOO LONG, I realized I'd have to cuff them or hem them. Oops.)

In the store, there was a deal going on for certain employees to get a pair of jeans for $10, so I got this pair. I had been needing new denim since I have holes wearing through in some of my older ones, so these were a good buy.

Lastly for clothing, I got this denim shirt. Just like everything else, I'd wanted this for a while and decided to finally get it (with my discount). I have one in a darker colour but I like the lighter one a little bit more, I think.

As for one random thing, I got my markout from Starbucks for last week (which is a free item, basically.) I chose to get a box of the Orange Blossom Tazo tea, and I quite like it, actually.

That's my looooong haul! Thanks for sticking through to the very end and make sure to follow my blog if you enjoyed!

Requests!

Hey guys! I was just wondering if you had any requests for posts on this blog! I have a few ideas in mind but I'd like some input on what I should blog about. The sky is the limit :)

Thanks!

Quick Tip: Where I buy my jeans

I thought I'd quickly mention this topic, because I know that I have a lot of trouble finding jeans to fit me. Being 5'11 and a size 2-4, most jeans are much too short for me - I find that most places like Garage and Forever21 don't carry a wide enough range of sizes to fit all body types. While they carry plenty of different waist sizes, the length doesn't vary much.

This is especially troublesome in the area of coloured jeans, which I would love to get my hands on, but no one carries long enough sizes for someone as tall as me.

If you are on one of the extreme sides of height, and you're either quite tall or quite short, I would recommend taking a look in American Eagle for jeans. In most washes each size comes in a short, regular and long, and on the website an x-long size is available (something I'm definitely looking into). My only issue is that the coloured denim available in American Eagle, while great quality, is only available in the "regular" length in store. If you're looking for any other length, one would have to look online.

I definitely recommend these jeans to anyone. They're comfortable, come in a wide range of styles and washes, and are pretty affordable (compared to Hollister or 7 For All Mankind).

Where's your favorite place to get jeans?

This is not a sponsored post by any means. I just wanted to share my preferences for those who are looking for longer or shorter jeans and don't know where to go. :)

Wishlist - 04/08/12

These are all the things I wish I had money for right now! :)

1.) Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation

Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation, about $55 CAD, Chanel counters

This is something I've had my eye on for quite some time. I know lots of people love it and when I run out of my current foundation, I would love to try this.

2.) Chanel Blush Horizon de Chanel soft glow blush

Chanel Blush Horizon de Chanel blush, about $74 CAD, Chanel counters

This is BEAUTIFUL. And I really don't need a reason to have another blush but I absolutely love this. I have no idea if it's still available - I believe it was limited edition - but if I could get my hands on it, I would love it.

3.) NARS duo in Tzarine

NARS duo in Tzarine, $34 USD, Sephora

I've wanted this eyeshadow duo for a very long time. It comes with a beautiful champagne colour and a deep blue, and I love both colours. I think this would be nice for something a little different from my typical neutral brown shadows.

4.) ASOS Quilted Lock Across Body Bag

ASOS Quilted Across Body Bag, $27.41 CAD,  www.asos.com

I know this bag is incredibly popular, but I love it just the same. I don't know exactly where I would wear it but it would get use, since it is so gorgeous.

5.) American Eagle Crossbody Satchel

AEO Crossbody Satchel, $24.42 CAD, American Eagle

I'm really into crossbody bags, in case that was not yet clear. I love this one because of the worn feel and the different colours on the outside flap. It's also fairly affordable, and since I work at American Eagle I could get a bit of a discount on it!

So that's everything! I'm still on a bit of a spending ban when it comes to makeup, but I do plan on getting a new foundation when I run out of mine. If you're reading, what is your number one item on your wishlist right now?

Wizarding World of Harry Potter Haul!

First of all, I'm sorry I haven't posted in forever - I was really busy the past few weeks and I just got back from Orlando, Florida :)

I come to you with my haul from America, where I was planning on getting a few things and ended up just getting some random items that I'm quite pleased with. The first is actually something I got before I went and I LOVE it. It's this faux-leather jacket from Garage. Considering the fact that it is a jacket, it's really well made, and I've gotten so much use out of it already, it was a bit of a steal ($60). It's a deep chocolate brown colour with a grey lining, detachable hood and a few pockets here and there.

Getting into the US stuff, I first visited a surf shop that was inside Universal Orlando, along the main street (City Walk, if you know what I'm talking about). I went there a total of about three times and got three different things.

First I got these earrings, which I was really excited to pick up since I honestly don't have a lot of earrings that aren't studs. They are a teardrop shape with cream, brown and teal coloured thread wound around them.

On my second trip, I got this shirt, which I also love. It's a Quicksilver shirt, and it's long enough to wear leggings underneath. It has short sleeves with buttons on the sides, and is navy and white striped, which is a look I really love. It also has the sort of bottom that is shorter in the sides than in the front and back, which I know has a name but I honestly can't remember it.

Lastly, on my final trip, I got this button-down shirt. The sleeves came rolled up, and it is almost a gradient type of shirt with different cream and pink stripes. I love this shirt because it fits well, and isn't anything too bold - it's soft and feminine and super comfortable.

Getting into some more of the fun stuff, I went to the M&M world in the Florida Mall, and I got about a pound of premium M&Ms. In case you were wondering, I got some of the peanut butter, the coconut, the baby blue regular ones, and the mini ones. And I have eaten some (I couldn't help it).

This is actually the design on one of the coconut M&Ms. So cute!

I also went to Sephora and I was planning on picking this up - it was on my list. I got the Naked 2 palette! I'm not going to get into it too much here - I'll do a post with swatches and my initial thoughts later. Oh, and by the way - I am still on project pan. I was actually planning on also getting a concealer when I was down in the states just because these are things I have a harder time getting in Canada, but I never got around to it. I got the Naked 2 now, while I'm on project pan, because it was $10 cheaper in the US and I'm not planning on going down there again anytime soon :) but I'm still not buying any makeup in Canada.

Getting into the Harry Potter stuff now. I got two Chocolate Frogs and a package of Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans, because of the packaging. Plus, the frogs come with cards inside.

I also got a little keychain to put on my car keys that is the Deathly Hallows symbol. This was probably one of my favorite things I got.

One last thing I got from the giftshop was this mug - I thought it was absolutely gorgeous and I know what I'm going to be drinking my tea out of from now on!

Last but not least, I got a pumpkin juice to try (I love the bottle. Definitely keeping this and washing it out when I finish the drink) and I also got a butterbeer. I decided to get one in the plastic mug instead of the cup that you throw away just because I could reuse the mug this way. By the way, I decided to try the iced butterbeer - and it was really good. If you are going to the WWOHP anytime soon, I definitely recommend it.

In all, I had an amazing time. I tried all of the rides and went around Universal Orlando quite a bit. It was a great vacation but I'm glad to be back :)

For those reading, have you ever been to a theme park like Universal? What did you think of it?
