Project Pan Take Two - Update!

So these are some products I have used up recently! Not all of these are from my project pan - some are just ones I've finished, but I thought I'd include them as well.

1.) Benefit's high beam (sample)
I honestly don't really like this product and definitely won't purchase the full size. It's pricey, and despite the fact that it comes with a lot of product I find it to look too fake and glittery on my cheeks.

2.) Benefit Stay Don't Stray eye primer (sample)
I actually quite liked this. I'm having a bit of a problem now because I thought I had a back up UDPP after this and it turns out I lost this, so I'm out of an eye primer. I'm not sure if I will repurchase this or not just yet, but it is a perfectly fine product.

3.) Benefit Ooh la lift eye brightener (sample)
To be honest, I quite liked this product, but I won't repurchase it. I think it is a little unnecessary and I'd rather just have a good under-eye concealer.

4.) Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser for Dark Circles
You all know how I feel about this - it was in my products I regret buying post. I won't be repurchasing this - I'm actually planning on buying the Garnier Anti Dark Circle Roller instead.

5.) Maybelline Great Lash mascara
I liked this, but it was nothing special. I purchased it because it was cheap and on sale and I like trying out different mascaras so much that I probably won't buy it again.

6.) Tresemme Heat Tamer Spray
A lot of people love this and I do too. The scent is amazing and it's very cheap as a heat protectant. I probably will repurchase this just because I feel guilty not using a heat protectant ;)

7.) Vaseline Cocoa Butter Deep Conditioning Body Lotion
I looooveeeee this. It smells amazing and it is super moisturizing, in addition to being incredibly inexpensive. However, I recently rediscovered my Body Shop body butters and am loving those more than life itself, so I probably won't repurchase this.

8.) Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer
Again, you all know how I feel about this. I won't be shelling out all the money to purchase this again.

And some updates on other products I'm trying to finish:

-Maybelline Fit Me powder

-Benefit Dandelion boxed powder (sample)

-Covergirl Shimmering Sands trio

-Clinique All About Eyes cream

So that's it! I hope you all enjoyed this blog post. What products have you used up lately?

June Favorites!

I think these are some of my favorite posts to write and videos to watch so I'm very glad I have these favorites to share! Since I've been on project pan (and to see that blog post click here), I haven't tried a lot of new items. However, most of these items are ones that I am not trying to use up, and rather have been using along with the items in my project pan.

Without any further ado, here are my June favorites!

1.) L'oreal True Match Naturale Gentle Mineral Concealer in Light

This concealer is amazing because it is so full coverage. If I have a blemish that is particularly bad and liquid concealer isn't enough, I'll apply this and it always does the trick. I wouldn't use this underneath the eyes, however.

2.) Benefit boxed powder in Dandelion

I've said it before and I'll say it again - I love this. It's perfect for my very fair skintone and looks really natural.

3.) Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow/Liner in R.S.V.P.

I was worried this was going to dry out, so I pulled it out of my collection and have been using it ever since. Not only does it make a fantastic base, but it is also gorgeous on it's own.

4.) Too Faced Natural Eye Palette, shades "Heaven", "Velvet Revolver", "Sexspresso" and "Silk Teddy"

I've been loving these four shades lately. Since I picked so many shimmery eyeshadows for my project pan, I've been loving the top row of this palette to add some matte shades into my everyday eyeshadow looks. I also just love Silk Teddy - it's the perfect lid colour.

5.) Maybelline Falsies mascara

I tried to get a good picture of the brush - it didn't turn out so well.
I bought this recently because I ran out of my other mascara (Maybelline Great Lash, which was in my project pan). I had completely run out of mascara so I went to the drugstore and found that this one was on sale, so I bought it. I've used this before and I absolutely love how easy it is to apply and how great my lashes look after.

6.) Lush Lip Tint in It Started With A Kiss

I bought this quite a while ago and have loved it a lot, and can't recall why I haven't mentioned it yet. This is a gorgeous product that, when applied, is a medium-bright coral colour. I love applying this, letting it dry and then using lip balm on top, and because it is a tint it is long wearing and lasts all day.

7.) Quo Crease Blender Brush

This brush never used to do much for me, but lately I've been using it to apply my outer corner and crease colours and I love the effect.

8.) L'oreal nail polish in Walk on the Beach

I did a blog post on this colour (link here), so I won't say too much about it. However, I've been wearing it a lot this month, and I think it is a perfect nude colour for me.

9.) Hempz Herbal Moisturizer

Since I've been carrying this around in my bag, I've reached for it a lot. I love the scent of this (some might not agree with me, but I think it smells like bananas) and it's incredibly moisturizing and luxurious.

10.) Lastly, I have two songs of the month. The first is "Flightless Bird, American Mouth" by Iron and Wine (which was part of the Twilight soundtrack, I've been told, but I did not hear it from there):

And the second is "Little Lion Man" by Mumford and Sons:

That concludes my June favorites! This has been a great month, and I'm so glad it's officially July! What was your favorite song this month?

P.S. and if you live in Canada like me.... Happy Canada Day!

Project Pan - Take Two!

You read it right... I'm doing this AGAIN. To see my original Project Pan blog post, click here, and if you'd like to see my concluding post to that, click here. I didn't technically finish, but I had picked so many products initially and finished so many that I ended up just letting it go after that post!

I had been thinking and decided it was time to do this again. I feel I have too many eyeshadows, and I'm still looking to scale down the size of my collection. So, without any further ado, and in no particular order, may I present the products I am looking to finish!

1.) Wet N Wild trio in "Walking on Eggshells"

2.) Maybelline Great Lash Mascara in "Soft Black" (this is actually my only current mascara, but I want to try a new one!)

3.) Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser in "Light" (you can see I have very little left of this.)

4.) L'oreal Hip cream blush in "Enamoured" (this might seem a bit familiar!)

5.) Benefit Stay Don't Stray eye primer

6.) Herbal Essences Body Envy hairspray

7.) Clinique All About Eyes eye cream (sample)

8.) Benefit Ooh La Lift eye brightener (used as a highlight as well)

9.) Covergirl trio in "Shimmering Sands"

10.) Polysporin Daily Lip Care lip balm

11.) CO Bigelow Mentha Lip Buffer

12.) Maybelline Fit Me powder in 120 "Classic Ivory"

13.) Tresemme Heat Tamer Spray

14.) Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer in "Nude" (sample)

15.) Benefit boxed powder in "Dandelion" (sample)

That rounds off my second take at the project pan! I'm actually quite surprised I'm doing this again but I figure it's for the best. If anyone else is currently doing this, be sure to leave a link to the video or blog post in the comments section - I love reading about Project Pan!

Products I've Used Up/Project Pan Update!

I've decided to FINALLY do a Project Pan update! I know I've been absent for a really long time but I've been super busy.

So I finished a lot of the products I set out to finish, and I also used up a few other items that I thought I'd include also! The products that I don't mention in this post are ones that I didn't finish but still intend to. If you'd like to see my original blog post, click here.

These aren't in the order I finished them by the way - they're categorized by product type. But first I have my Sweet Pea Forever body lotion (which was the first to go), a small size of the Joico K-PAK liquid reconstructor, my EOS Honeydew lipbalm, and my two perfume samples. These were really quick to go.

I also finished two mascaras - Revlon's Custom Eyes, and L'oreal's Telescopic Clean Definition. Both of these mascaras were amazing in my opinion.

In addition, two concealers were used up - Maybelline's Fit Me and L'oreal's Touche Magique. I actually intended to finish both of these and I'm quite pleased that I did. I loved them both - actually much more than the concealer I'm currently using!

I finished two of the lip products I wanted to finish, which were Rimmel's Gloss Over palette in Play it Loud and Buxom's lip gloss in Dolly. I hated the palette but the lip gloss is actually my favorite gloss.

Lastly, I used up two primers - Urban Decay's Primer Potion (which is amazing, but I found that it made my eye shadows a little difficult to blend) and Benefit's The Pore-fessional.

I couldn't do this blog post without mentioning the amount of use I got out of these two products, however. I didn't finish them up, but I put significant dents in them. I hit pan on Benefit's Dandelion (and the pan spot has gotten even bigger since I took these pictures - I love this blush) and I used quite a bit of some of the shadows in Pixi's Eye Beauty Kit in Mango. I'm going to continue working on these products and the other ones that I didn't finish, and I actually am going to be adding some more products into my Project Pan - so keep your eyes out for another post on that.

All in all, I think my Project has been extremely successful thus far. The only beauty product I purchased was the Naked 2 palette from Urban Decay, and I explained why in my Orlando haul (click here to see it). I'm loving using up products and I don't mind not being able to buy any!
